The Department of Psychology at Wake Forest University invites applications for two one-year full-time Visiting Assistant Professor appointments beginning in July 2026.
Position Summary: Both positions will require teaching three courses per semester along with some service (e.g., advising students). In addition to qualifications to teach Introductory Psychology, one position will emphasize qualifications to teach survey classes in Developmental and/or Social Psychology; candidates who can teach on topics of stereotypes, discrimination, and/or culture are of special interest. The content area of the second position is currently open.

Qualifications: An earned Ph.D. in Psychology (or closely related field) is required for the position; ABD candidates are invited to apply. Candidates for both positions must be qualified to teach Introductory Psychology along with some survey classes in another area of psychology. Qualified candidates will also demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching.
