The Department of Psychology at Binghamton University (SUNY) invites applications for a full-time Lecturer position in psychology for up to three years, with the possibility of further renewal. We are seeking a dynamic, innovative teacher with a degree in Clinical or Counseling Psychology (or a closely related field in the domain of Health Service Psychology) and a commitment to high- quality, rigorous undergraduate education, with a potential for graduate teaching as well. We are particularly interested in individuals with experience teaching upper-level clinically focused undergraduate seminars in evidence-based practice, clinical assessment, personality and psychopathology, or specialized topics in applied mental health.
The area of subspecialization is open and includes child or adolescent mental health, adult clinical psychology, developmental or personality psychopathology, community psychology, neuropsychology, gerontology, health or behavioral medicine, and other specialized topics relevant to applied mental health practice. While not required, experience in applied clinical settings and in translating clinical training into applied or case-based teaching, including work with patients or clients, is considered an asset. Contemporary areas of interest include digital and technology-supported interventions, telehealth, behavioral health integration, prevention and intervention science, and other emerging models of mental health care delivery.
