Trevecca is seeking a full-time tenure-track faculty member in Psychology to begin on August 15, 2026. Faculty in the Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences are committed to rigorous academics, high-quality undergraduate research, and holistic education in a distinctly Christian environment.  Psychology is a thriving program with over 100 majors.  Job responsibilities include teaching a range of courses in psychology, student advising, and serving on university committees.

Qualifications:

Trevecca seeks candidates with a strong Christian testimony and an unwavering commitment to Christ-centered teaching and learning. The successful candidate will demonstrate teaching excellence, passion for mentoring undergraduate students, broad knowledge in psychology and counseling and a strong commitment to the mission of the university.  A doctoral degree in Psychology is strongly preferred with specialization in quantitative research methods.

The position requires undergraduate teaching and advising.  Teaching may include general psychology, statistics, research methods, senior seminar, and drugs and behavior. Effective communication skills, demonstrated mastery of content and effective teaching, and scholarly activity are expected.  Opportunity to develop courses in specialization is a possibility.
