Associate Editor, "This is How I Teach" Blog

STP's “This is How I Teach” blog is seeking an Associate Editor. Consistent with our Mission Statement and the Statement on Addressing Systemic Racism and Inequity in STP, we encourage applications from colleagues who are from underrepresented groups and have diverse backgrounds and experiences.

The “This is How I Teach” blog provides a forum for STP members to introduce themselves to the STP community and share how they teach. Authors are invited to submit short responses to a set of questions developed by the editorial team. Approximately one profile per month is posted to the blog.

The associate editor will assist the editor in soliciting contributors to the blog and posting those responses on the STP blog. Prior experience with blogging is not necessary, and we will train you in the online system used to post author responses.

TIMELINE/DUTIES:

• Recruit authors to contribute to the blog (with an emphasis on featuring members with diverse backgrounds and experiences).
• Perform editing tasks related to the publication of blog posts.
• Assist with the annual report to VP for Membership (December).

The term of office is 3 years beginning in January 2026, and the TiHIT Committee reports to Danae Hudson, Vice President for Membership.
