The Society for the Teaching of Psychology (STP) is seeking a member to serve as News Editor. Consistent with our Mission Statement and the Statement on Addressing Systematic Racism and Inequity in STP, STP encourages applications from colleagues who are from underrepresented groups and have diverse backgrounds and experiences.
TIMELINE: The News Editor will serve a 3-year term (January 2026 through December 2028) with an opportunity to renew for a second term upon approval of the STP Executive Committee. The new News Editor will have the opportunity to consult the current News Editor (Tom Pusateri) prior to assuming responsiblities of the position.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Reporting directly to the STP Secretary, the News Editor is responsible for preparing STP's newsletter and developing a photographic record of sessions at STP's Annual Conference on Teaching (ACT). The News Editor will receive reasonable travel support to attend ACT. Additional details about the position are available in the STP Policies and Procedures Manual (available at this link).
