Member, STP Membership Communication Committee

The Society for the Teaching of Psychology’s Membership Communication Committee (MCC) is seeking two new social media moderators to help with STP’s active Facebook groups, Instagram account, and new BlueSky and LinkedIn accounts. Consistent with our Mission Statement and the Statement on Addressing Systemic Racism and Inequity, we encourage applications from colleagues who are from underrepresented groups and have diverse backgrounds and experiences. These moderators will be part of the larger Membership Communication Committee and will report to the Chair of this committee, Karenna Malavanti and the Vice President for Membership, Danae Hudson.

Specific duties include regularly posting engaging content to the society's Instagram, BlueSky, and LinkedIn feeds, approving new Facebook posts, approving new member requests in the Facebook groups, providing relevant STP resources on Facebook posts, and sharing STP news to keep our members updated across STP’s social media sites. Familiarity with social media is preferred. The three-year committee terms for these positions will begin in 2025 and may be renewed for an additional 3 years if desired.
